Poinsettia, Poinsettia

I know, I know...no one is thinking about poinsettias at this time of year but I have a thrifty tip I use to squeeze some use out of them right before they're done for.

As soon as a couple of the petals start to dry up, start cutting the fresh perky flowers. I try to have at least 6 inches of stem on each flower I cut. I cut the bottom at an angle and then place in water. They seriously stay nice for a week or so and look lovely arranged together in glass or milk glass. Anyone else have any poinsettia or flower tips out there? Maybe if we talk about flowers Spring will hear us and come early!
